Rackspace is seeking an Enterprise Solution Architect (ESA) to lead strategic and complex customer engagements aligning business strategy, needs or challenges with IT strategy through technology outcomes. Aiding business case creation and enabling opportunity development through strategy realization activities. Working with a wide spectrum of businesses utilising the industry leading technology and best of bread service management to provide effective solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Orchestrate and lead presales and delivery efforts inclusive of holistic IT optimization, consolidation, and transformation solutions for FTSE 500 customers inclusive of developing a strategy and collective vision.
• Lead facilitation of group white-boarding sessions to articulate Rackspace solutions, cloud technologies, industry trends, transformation methodologies, and overall stimulate the customer about the concept of adopting a managed services model with Rackspace.
• Influence customer executives, customer decision making process, and achieve Trusted Advisor status among targeted strategic pursuit and key growth accounts.
• Help create strategic plans to grow the Rackspace business by aligning with Rackspace Sales needs and territory demands to practical solutions.
• Develop strong, positive relationships with Rackspace Sales Leaders, Marketing, Channel, Service Delivery, Operations, and Office of the CTO teams.
• Continuously keep abreast of evolving technologies, emerging industry trends, developing Rackspace product & solutions, and demands of the enterprise consumer.
• Interface with internal teams by working with new product initiatives to ensure completeness and relevance to customer requirements.
• Mentor extended Rackspace sales and technical teams in regards to mature sales methodologies and technical solution specifications.
• Perpetually seek to improve and refine the Rackspace technical service methodology, deliverables, sales collateral, and team roles.
• Coordinates with sales team managers to proactively engage high priority/profile customers as an industry technology expert.
• Provide FANATICAL support by driving the value of Rackspace to both potential and existing Rackspace customers and internal sales teams alike.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed

Qualifications

• Extensive of experience in the IT industry across various technical, sales, consulting, sales support, and/or technical support roles.
• Certification and/or experience in enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF, BCS Enterprise and Solution architecture
• Expert knowledge of business operations across various industries
• Mastery in various computing technology including experience working across multiple technologies such as Public & Private Clouds.
• Experience with common as-a-Service offerings with various service providers across various solution stacks (infrastructure, platform, software).
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management and Service Delivery, ITIL certification preferred.
• Expert knowledge of data center strategy, outsourcing capacity, utilization, disaster recovery, and migration & consolidation and best practices.
• Experience in creating business cases to drive or prove feasibility of change within an organization or customer such as outsourcing IT operations from in house to a service provider.
• Strong infrastructure experience such as virtualization technologies, operating systems, platform migration, data management, networking, facilities, and operational facilities.
• Organization, communications (including presentation skills, diplomacy, and influencing), process thinking, directing work through others, initiative, building relationships and trust, and consensus building.
• Effective presentation skills with the capacity to articulate value to varying customer audiences such as IT managers to C suite. With the ability to have a technical conversation and a business value/outcomes conversation.
• Knowledge of industry metrics and how to positively impact those figures by identifying them in customer and market interactions.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player.
• Strong consultative selling acumen and demonstrated success in prior roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems or Business/Economics required. Master’s degree preferred.
