This role is responsible for providing the highest level of recruitment services to the Rackspace APAC region including Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. The role will need to deliver high quality level candidates and advance the Rackspace brand across numerous markets and professional communities, while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the Rackspace selection process. It will involve full life cycle recruiting and maintaining excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near- and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organisation is required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment across all departments (Technical Support, Service Delivery, Professional Services, Sales & Marketing and other teams as needed) from sourcing, screening and selection to negotiation, offer and close
  • Provides an effective and consultative service to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment from sourcing, screening and selection to negotiation, offer and close, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience
  • Manages the engagement and relationship with recruitment agency partners as required
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Stakeholders, vendors and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Leverages online recruiting resources to identify and recruit the very best candidates and participates in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques and lead the way in industry best practices
  • Develops a deep understanding of Rackspace and our culture and use this understanding to provide inspiring information to candidates about Rackspace, our business strategy and the opportunity
  • Maintains accurate and well-ordered documentation in our recruitment system on all candidates, hiring manager’s interactions, and other recruiting activities
  • Proactively provides data and market insights to stakeholders and business leaders
  • Partners with HR and Talent Development to ensure we have a joined-up approach to talent management

Qualifications

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

 

Essential

  • Strong experience managing full lifecycle recruiting gained within the IT industry across all departments with strong experience in technical and sales roles
  • Solid background using direct sourcing methods (Networking, LinkedIn, Job-Boards, Internal Talent Pools) and the ability to identify the best talent
  • Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build recruiting solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs, remaining competitive in talent market, and operating within financial resource constraints
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments across a broad technical skill set
  • Effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed and appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with Hiring Managers and Leaders
  • Creative approach to recruitment and ways to attract top quality candidates with the ability to present new recruiting concepts to Stakeholders
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Flexibility to travel as required and enjoying being involved and attending industry recognised technical networking events.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Desirable

  • Experience working within a fast-paced technical/hosting industry.
  • Solid experience networking with strong sales talent and technical talent (System Engineers/Architects, Technical Account Managers & Technical Managers)
  • Previous experience recruiting and networking with cloud talent (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
