Overview & Responsibilities

Supporting all aspects of a customer's journey on Google Cloud Platform, you will engage and support a customer to ensure their success.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Support customers of varying maturity levels in their adoption of cloud technologies
  • Be flexible and assist the customer across a diverse range of technologies and software
  • Have a can-do attitude
  • Present work to customers of all technical abilities

Desired Skills:


  • Strong Linux and system administration skills
  • Either Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect or a plan to achieve it
  • Experience automating and orchestrating workloads on GCP or other Public Clouds
  • Automation experience with at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or other such tools
  • Experience working at least one of the following languages: Python, Go
  • Proficient with git and git workflows
  • Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker) to automate testing and deployment
  • Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment
  • Knowledge (preferably experience) in building distributed, highly available applications or systems architectures
  • Experience in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common web servers such as: Apache, Nginx, Lighttpd
  • Experience in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of MySQL/MariaDB
  • A working understanding of networking, Load balancers and Load balancing methodologies



  • Experience working to deadlines in high-pressure project environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences
  • Write and maintain world-class documentation and materials for customer and Rackspace internal audiences.
  • Can present concepts in authoritative and clear manner to customers through white boarding, presentations and proposals
  • Creative problem solver, will own issues until full resolution
  • Ability to create wow / delighter moments with customers
  • Effective with time management and expected deliverables
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal with great attention to detail
  • Actively contribute to Best Practices, toolkit and methodologies within area of expertise
  • Continued awareness of evolving technologies and implications for improvements
  • Contribute to the generation of new business for Consultancy
  • Consultancy experience in the financial services sector
