    Managed GCP - Operations Engineer

    Overview & Responsibilities

Do you like to automate the most simplest of tasks to remove manual work? Do single points of failure and non-HA systems give you nightmares? Are you comfortable with cloud technologies? If this describes you and you’re ready to attack some of the most complex problems in the industry, then it’s time for you to take on the challenge of being an Operations Engineer for Managed Google Compute Platform by Rackspace.

    Exceptional customer experience

Our goal is customer satisfaction. Our customers’ experience from onboarding through their continued growth at Rackspace should be exceptional. As an Operations Engineer, in addition to providing customer support, you will help build the tooling and processes necessary for excellent customer outcomes.

    Architecture support and tool development

Do you enjoy supporting complex architectures and developing tools to accomplish that goal? This is the right place to be. From taking part in evaluation of customer architecture to supporting it long term, our Operations Engineers will work with cutting edge cloud technologies and architectures for our customers. If you enjoy writing programmatic solutions to reduce the turnaround time for customers, and workload for support, this team is what you’re looking for.

    Customer focused, but automation driven

With beta launching in July, Managed Google Cloud Platform by Rackspace is the next generation of Fanatical Support. Scaling support is a difficult challenge, and our intent in this organization is to solve it. We don’t want to repeat the same patterns; this is our opportunity to innovate and create a scalable support model. If you’d rather solve problems in a permanent form instead of continual treatment of the symptoms, this is the team for you.

    Career growth

The MGCP Operations Engineers work closely with the Customer Reliability Engineering team both during and after engagements with their customers. If the idea of becoming a Customer Reliability Engineer in the future is exciting, this is a great opportunity to work towards that goal.
