    Overview & Responsibilities

    Rackspace is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy and execution for our segment/field marketing team in the UK. Defines the GTM appropriate for assigned segment teams with the relevant products, solutions, and messaging for the target audience. Determines growth targets and the contribution expected from marketing in each segment. Works with the Sales Segment leaders to design the right acquisition marketing programs, x-sell and up-sell programs on IB, and with EMEA Marketing Services and Digital to ensure consistency between the campaign, messaging, and the website. Ensures that segment marketing programs are measured and executed on time, accurately, and successfully. Selects, manages, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

     

    The candidate will have significant experience in creating successful, measurable integrated marketing programs to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth across multiple channels.

     

    Key Accountabilities

     

    • Lead, manage, and develop a team of segment marketers in the UK to execute marketing programs that support the goals of the sales teams.
    • Responsible for the development and execution of the annual marketing plan and budget for the segment marketers in cooperation with the EMEA marketing team and group functions. Translates go-to-market strategies and identified opportunities into actionable and measurable marketing programs. Conducts customer and market research.
    • Ensures marketing programs are executed on time, accurately, and successfully. Monitors segment performance, marketing effectiveness, and market penetration rates to formulate recommendations to improve results. Forecasts, measures, analyses, and reports on the team’s activities through the marketing and sales funnels.
    • Understands the broader business performance and what marketing levers or adjustments need to be pulled to improve performance. Tests new marketing initiatives to improve results.
    • Collaborates cross functionally within the marketing, sales, and product orgs to develop campaign narratives, messaging, and tactics

    Qualifications

    • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent related field required
    • Extensive experience in a fast-paced B2B environment, preferably in the IT industry. Experience with B2C marketing initiatives preferred. With at least 5 years of management experience.

    • Strong understanding of the cloud market and an enthusiasm for proactively keeping up-to-date on the latest market trends and product development.

    • Expert knowledge of the program management process, including segmentation and targeting, brand management, digital marketing, marketing communications, and account based marketing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to detect patterns, draw conclusions, and present conclusions to internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent decision making and project management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and high execution.
    • Must be competent in speaking publicly to both small and large groups.
