    Overview & Responsibilities

    This role sits within the Rackspace International Marketing Team and will be accountable for providing operational support, insight, reporting and project management to help drive the performance of the International Marketing team. This role plays an integral role in the marketing operations function and will contribute directly to the successful planning, executing, reporting and refining of marketing activities. These initiatives will be based on in-depth analysis and subsequent insight generation obtained from data available both internally and externally to Rackspace.




    Budgeting & Planning

    You will be expected to manage the financial control and target planning framework that will help drive marketing performance, to include (but not limited to):

    • Manage the full Marketing target setting process in line with the regular planning cycle and ensure these are reviewed and addressed frequently.
    • Manage the maintenance and future development of the marketing budget process, and report frequently on periodic progress of actual marketing spend to forecast across marketing and the business units.
    • To track and process marketing invoices received against planned budget spend. This will include liaising with external marketing suppliers and internal Rackspace finance teams.

    Reporting & Insights

    You will be expected to manage and deliver a marketing reporting ecosystem that provides a full funnel view of marketing performance, and accompanied insights to ensure marketing activities are optimized to deliver on performance targets. This will include (but not limited to):

    • Challenging the status quo and putting forward innovative suggestions as to how Rackspace uses metrics as success measurements and reports on and communicates performance results and insights.
    • Online performance to drive website and ecommerce optimisation
    • Marketing campaign analysis
    • Marketing Leadership dashboard (highlighting Closed Loop reporting on all marketing activity)
    • Marketing KPI tracking weekly, monthly and quarterly
    • Ad Hoc reporting requirements to support marketing performance tracking and effectiveness
    • Ensure that relevant customer insights are used to direct future marketing activity
    • Maintain reporting processes that track campaigns and facilitate post-campaign analysis including, CAC ratios, CPA and ROI
    • Manage the delivery of reports and insight to marketing performance stakeholders, of various levels across the business.


    • Has experience in campaign evaluation, segmentation development and implementation
    • Has a good understanding of customer lifecycle management e.g. LTV, Attrition, Retention
    • Has experience in the use of web analytics packages required (use Google Analytics preferred).
    • Strong experience in the use of com with the ability to create detailed reports/dashboards required.
    • Knowledge of marketing automation systems a benefit (specifically Marketo).
    • Proven record in analytical skills with the ability to disseminate insight and take action required.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel) skills required.
    • Working knowledge of SQL beneficial.
    • Excellent communication skills required, verbal, written and presentation.

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to easily switch between technical and business communication
