    Overview & Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a desire to learn to join the Financial and Management Accounting team.  Attention to detail and excellent communication / interpersonal skills are essential. The Financial Reporting Accountant will assist the Financial Reporting Manager and the Management Accounting team in the financial reporting on the performance and position of the International Group and individual companies therein, through preparation and submission of internal and external account reporting requirements and new Rackspace International entities administered from the UK offices (currently 20 entities, including 8 dormants).



    • Assist in preparing Statutory Financial Statements for the 20 legal entities (including 8 dormant companies) administered from the UK offices to ensure compliance with accounting standards
    • Prepare analysis and obtain an understanding of the movements in the Income Statement and provide commentary for month end reporting purposes.
    • Prepare account reconciliations to support Intercompany balances held on the Balance Sheet
    • Accounting for intercompany transactions including transfer pricing entries, loans, capital contributions and dividends, to ensure accounts are accurate.
    • Assist in reviewing and collating monthly and quarterly analytics to the US Reporting team to support the monthly close of the books and group financial statement filings
    • Assist in reviewing and collating monthly reporting packs and audit schedules
    • Collate data and work with other departments to complete the quarterly UK VAT return
    • Prepare and coordinate other regulatory returns (e.g. National Statistics submissions)
    • Assist in the annual PSA tax filing process (and international equivalents, i.e. Australian FBT)
    • Prepare schedules for company audits and liaise with auditors on reconciliations and analysis performed
    • Involve in the continual development of internal reporting including accuracy and standard reporting for management reporting to more insight into the business



    • Part or Newly Qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent,
    • Experience of IFRS & US GAAP essential
    • Experience of production and/or review of statutory financial statements essential
    • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management highly desirable.
    • Experience with Oracle General Ledger highly desirable.
    • Experience of reporting to a Private Equity parent desirable.
    • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
    • Attention to quality of work
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective team member, along with the ability to apply logical thinking and a good reasoning ability
    • Excel advanced experience required as a minimum.
